Otter Lake is a picturesque outdoor recreation space nestled amid spruce and birch trees positioned on the back side of JBER. Rent a cabin or camp out by lakeside during Alaska’s sunny, temperate summers. The boat home presents a wide range of aquatic leases for use on the lake during the Summer together with Rowboats, Canoes, Kayaks, Stand-Up Paddle Boards, Paddle Boats, and Sail Boats. Experience one thing unique at every one of our regional parks, from mountain settings to cultural gardens in the Heart of Silicon Valley. Each park has a rich history that you could discover whereas exploring your surroundings. Effective April 1, 2021, City of San José Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services resumed paid parking at regional parks and locations, following a short lived halt in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Park Condition Assessments are step one in identifying enhancements to the City’s parks, trails, and other maintained grounds. Results are used to efficiently allocate assets and enhance maintenance.

Outside Program

Standard safety guidelines and regulations related to group recreation applications. This position is situated on a school property that’s outdoors and approximately 25 acres. The recirculated fountain at Plaza de Caesar Chavez will be in operation, as will the fountain on the San José Municipal Rose Garden, with a 30% discount in active hours. All other water options in parks will remain off until we recuperate from drought conditions. Generally, all city parks close one hour after sundown and opens at sunrise.

No, all participants are required to journey in a Liberty University car to and from our Outdoor Adventure journeys. We supply kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards for college students, faculty, and staff to make the most of free of charge on Hydaway Lake during our operational hours.

The Liberty Mountain Trail System consists of over 50 miles of single and double monitor trails and logging roads spanning approximately 3,500 acres. The mountain rises to over 1,360 toes providing cross country and gravity-fed trails for both climbing and mountain biking. Adventure with us on an outdoor journey guided by our skilled journey leaders. Trips embrace horseback driving, kayaking, hiking, whitewater rafting, camping, skiing, fly fi­shing, and rappelling.

Students have the option of a one-12 months diploma or two-12 months degree in outside management.
